An
ancient breed originating in Japan where they were ornaments
for the imperial gardens. Males were given special attention
and thus the tail feathers occasionally grew to 20 feet.
Our more recent Phoenix is still unusually beautiful in silver
and black coloring with tails that are fabulous although
somewhat shorter than their ancestors.
